How does Reiki work?

Everything has a particular frequency – our cells, thoughts, feelings, words, and actions. We are born full of loving high frequency energies – think of the amount of love and energy a very young child has. As we begin to experience feelings of being unloved, unaccepted, pain, rejection, trauma etc, our energy or frequency begins to drop.  When painful feelings, false beliefs and trauma energies are not cleared, or the treatment causing them is repeated over and over again, these lower frequency states become more fixed and dense.  They affect how we think and feel about ourselves, the people in our lives and the world in general, can cause illness and can stop us from achieving our goals.  They also affect how other people treat us.

If we remain in the same frequency, it’s very likely we will keep having the same experiences, repeating the same unconscious responses and our lives will stay the same.  If we wish for things to change and improve, our frequency needs to change.

A Reiki treatment works by raising our frequency. This is achieved by sending high frequency energy into the body where it is needed most, relaxing the body and mind, clearing stagnation and imbalance, and creating a state of rest in which the body can accelerate its natural repair processes.
