WELCOME
My name is Judy, creator of Figtree Holistic Therapies. I am a Wollongong Reiki Master Teacher, Reiki Practitioner, and Massage and Talk Therapist. I have worked in the UK and Australia as an holistic therapist and Reiki teacher for over 15 years. My introduction to Reiki began in the UK when I attended a Reiki Level 1 course with Penelope Quest in February 2004. I loved it so much, I went back to learn Reiki Level 2 the following May and recognised the benefits immediately. However it wasn’t until two years later when I attended a PSA Super Reiki workshop with Dr Susie Anthony, in which she combined energy work with leading-edge psychological tools and alchemical maps that I felt a profound excitement I’d never had about life before – I had found the right teacher, passion and path for me, and I decided to make a drastic change to my career.
I have known Judy very deeply for about fifteen years or so. Words cannot describe how highly I esteem her. Her work ethic and drive to always get it right whilst still acknowledging we are all different and using diverse approaches for all… well she is major league as a practitioner and as a human being. Highly Recommended.
I had been working in Finance in London City for several years and was earning a very comfortable salary, but over time found less and less meaning in my work.
With Susie’s encouragement, I courageously changed track to follow my passion and become a practitioner and teacher of Reiki and energy mastery. I left my finance job in London at the end of 2006 to become a full time member Susie’s PSA Life Mastery community in Somerset, and lived, studied and worked within the community for seven years. Together we assisted people from all walks life to heal through workshops, retreats, therapies, psychological guidance and energy mastery practices, whilst also working on ourselves to clear blocks from our past to become our best selves. For part of that time I was also centre manager of Studio Psalm, the team’s holistic day spa in Wells, Somerset.
Through living and working with Susie’s PSA Life Mastery team, I learned how to become a pure channel for powerful healing energies. You can experience this during my treatments and courses.
Learning Massage and Raindrop Technique…
In 2008, I wished to add massage therapy to my services and undertook several modalities of training, the most important being extensive “No Hands” massage training, which I attended annually for several years. My other training included Swedish, myofascial release, back, hips and shoulder massage courses.
My passion for Young Living Essential Oils lead me to train in the Raindrop Technique, which combines the power of therapeutic grade essential oils with massage. I also use these oils within my massage and Reiki treatments to gently accelerate the healing process.
Bringing Reiki and Massage to Wollongong and the Illawarra…
After spending 16 years in the UK, I decided to return home to Australia and now teach Reiki courses and treat Reiki and Massage clients at my peaceful location in Figtree, near Wollongong. I love sharing the tools and techniques which have helped me transform my life from one of stress, illness and chaos to one filled with joy, peace and calm. I am here to help people who wish to do the same, and I provide physical and energetic support to my clients as a part of my treatments. Whether you are seeking deep relaxation and some ‘me’ time, or need some help navigating life’s tougher challenges, I can assist you.
